Hi all,
Couple of questions I've got that I'm wondering if anyone here can answer.
1: With the new version of portals, I'm wondering how to modify the sign-in and registration pages with custom templating etc. as you can't do it locally anymore(?) So I'm wondering if there's a work around which would allow me to make a custom registration / sign-in page using a form.
2: I have modified the profile web form, to change the way the profile screen looks within the portal, however whenever I press update, an error is thrown (as seen below):
We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly. Thank you for your patience.
I can update the same information within Dynamics 365 just fine, but just in the portal it throws an error everytime I try to update, even when no values are getting changed.
Any help on either point would be greatly appreciated! :)
Thanks in advance
Josh Grant

We too facing same issue when we tried logged into portal sometimes. We are using custom profile.
Instead of customizing the default profile page, Create your own custom profile page and make it redirect upon the login by changing the site profile with your custom page. We have achieved this way. No need to strict to the default profile page.
Hey Josh,
Did you find a solution to your problem? I am facing the same.
Thanks!

I have also faced the same issue.I Initially i suspect i got the error because of my custom JS but it is not. Please rollback the fields which was there in there in the profile web form. You can add your custom fields on top of it.Because there will be validation on the fields in the default profile web form. if you removed it it will through null value. So user will not able to update any fields in the that form and not able to navigate to any other form. Hope this will help you.
Hi Josh,
Unfortunately, the viewing of trace logs are not enabled in Dynamics 365 Portals. Please create a support ticket with Microsoft to resolve the issue. I would suggest looking at the changes you made to Profile Web Form and see if you are missing any required fields. Portal forms can have additional required fields other than the CRM Form's required fields. Try rolling back changes.
Regarding customisations for templates; you have restrictions with this. Your options are:
