User field not available as a lookup in editable grid

I have enable editable grids in my Account entity on the Unified Interface. Everything works fine except for the 'Owner' field which is a lookup to a User and is also a required field. When I go to add the lookup for the particular view, there are no lookup fields available.

Should this field be editable? Am I missing something?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi PippaH,

There are some data types that are not editable on the editable grid:

Data types that aren't editable in an editable grid

The following data types aren't editable in editable grids: Customer and Partylist Lookup columns; Composite (address) columns; State/Status columns; Lookup table-related columns (for example, the Account table includes a contact lookup, where the Contact column is editable but the EmailAddress(Contact) column is not editable).

    Reference:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../make-grids-lists-editable-custom-control

I can confirm from my tests as well that Owner field is also not editable.

However, for owner field you can use the Assign option in the ribbon for the selected owner to change ownership.

    Hope this helps
