Linking opportunity and delivery related documents to Business Central

What solutions are available for create/store/control of documents/tools that relate to particular BC functions.

For example, Sales Cycle>Activity Code>NEEDS - we have a particular tool (excel file) that assists in identifying the needs of an opportunity. For a particular task related to NEEDS, how do I attach our tool (or at least a link to it - automatically) so that the salesperson has immediate access to it?

I'm thinking this would need to be a broader suite of documents/tools stored in SharePoint that is aligned to the BC processes/workflows.

Another example, our proposals are often 20+ pages long and highly customised to the opportunity with very little opportunity for replication. Therefore it takes a team of 2-3 people quite a number of days to complete. They have numerous files and reference resources required to complete each proposal. How do we ensure that all these documents are always linked back to the particular proposal?

Really interested to hear people's thoughts on this.

    Hi

We use SharePoint Connector for similar purpose. It is a flexible tools that let us configure in which SharePoint folder each documents should store. Also, in newer version you can define many other possibilities as well. Sometime you may need small development to add this to specific page.

    GW,

Have you looked at Insight Works DocXtender? It is FREE and can work with SharePoint so you have the large storage you will need.
