If you have a development license then yes you can modify the report and display the information you want, or you need to contact partner.
One other way is use Jet Reports or export the report to excel and modify it.
I fully agree with Vishal that you can export it to Excel or Word and modify whatever you want. However, be careful to store the data somewhere, better event to make a link to that in NAV, so it will be known what modifications you have done; otherwise the other person who will communicate with the customer would have a clue of what is going on.
What do you mean by selecting the statement? Any filters that you are talking about or fields selection in report?
You can run the report as per required filters, save it in excel, modify as per need and send it across.
Alternatively you can modify the report as per your need.
