Creating delivery note with same fields as invoice

Hi,

A delivery note entity seems necessary for us. In the sales process it is between Sales Order and Invoice. So we want to create an order, deliver note goods to the customer and make an invoice based on the delivery note.

Unfortunately, Dynamics 365 does not have a delivery note entity. I am aware of the following thread: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/413504/create-a-custom-entity-and-entity-detail

But is there a faster possibility to create an delivery note entity? Something like copying the invoice entity with all views and forms to make everything less complex.

Because otherwise we have to create the delivery note entity, the delivery note details entity and customize the whole ribbon to create an delivery note based on an order.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi,

    It is not recommended to copy the entities directly.

    However, you can copy the fields of an entity after creating a new one.

    1. Install the Clone Field Definitions Plugin from XrmToolBox.

    1. Select the fields you need and clone them to the target entity.

    This can help you save a lot of time creating fields, but the View and Form still need to be created manually.

    Hi Nya,

    sorry for the delay. The Clone field definitions Plugin has not worked as suggested but at least XRM Toolbox offers some other create tools to make working with Dynamics 365 more efficient. Until now I thought that XRM Toolbox is only "Workbench Ribbon", I was totally wrong.
