Make Leave request comment field mandatory

Hi,

we are looking for a way to make the comment field in Leave Requests mandatory.

I hoped this would be possible with the new mandatory field feature, but there I can only change fields in my own view, not for everyone.

Is there any way how we can achieve this?

    Hi Johannes,

    To my understanding, not every field can be made mandatory. Therefore, comments can't be set as a required field on time off request form. However, reason codes and few other fields can now be set as mandatory.

    Please see the screenshot below-

    Now when you try for Comments that Required option doesn't appear.

    So, I highly doubt that if you can even change this view for your own self. 


    Secondly, please note that once you have made any changes you can give the same view to other users easily by the new personalization feature for which you need to enable saved view feature and thereafter you can publish your personalized to other roles.

    Please keep in mind that it is not possible to create a saved view for every form. There are some limitation that are clearly explained on MS docs.
