You will need to install the required Power BI apps in advance, which naturally requires a valid Power BI license.

    Hello sandipdjadhav,

The Microsoft-provided Power BI reports shown in your screenshot, such as General Ledger Entries and Inventory Valuation Overview, are designed to work as delivered—you do not need to rebuild them. However, they are not completely zero-setup: for Business Central online, the connector/AL components are already installed, but you must install the corresponding Microsoft Power BI template app, connect its semantic model to the correct Environment + Company, authenticate it, refresh the data, and map the Power BI workspace/report back to Business Central using Connect to Power BI / Power BI Connector Setup. Microsoft currently provides apps for Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Inventory Valuation, Projects, Manufacturing, and others. You only need to modify/rebuild a report if the standard report does not meet your business requirements or you need additional custom fields/KPIs; otherwise I would first use the standard reports as-is. Also note that the apps work per company, so multiple BC companies require separate app/workspace setup, and users need the appropriate Power BI Pro/Premium entitlement.

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh

You can read about installing the standard Power BI apps here: Install Power BI apps for Business Central - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

Once you do that then you can simply run those reports and you don't need to modify or change anything. It's a pretty simple plug and play experience. You also just can't modify them much either.

Hi, they work as they are, no need to rebuild. But not out of the box with zero setup. Those Tell Me entries are only links, first you must install the Power BI apps (Finance, Sales, Inventory and so on) from AppSource in a Power BI workspace and connect them to your environment and company. Then in BC search Power BI Connector Setup, or run the assisted setup Connect to Power BI Apps, and map each report there. Until then the pages just open empty or with an error. Every user who opens them needs Power BI Pro license too, this one surprises people.

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.

►  If this solved it, marking it verified helps others too.
