Hi,
Is there any documentation on the security requirements in M365 for adding an "Import" data source in CI?
I've tested using the power platform admin role being an admin in CI without success. I tried with another user who is global admin and it works properly.

RIght, permissions in Customer Insights and associated Dataverse environment are synced automatically so we dont need to worry about the roles in Dataverse.
Apart from the roles, we also need the required license/entitlement that allows us to create Power Platform dataflows as can be tracked in Office365 account. Now, there are many a permutations and combinations that enable user to create Power Platform dataflows so there is no specific license that grants these permissions. However, with a proper CI license, this requirement is automatically taken care of.
Happy to expand if any further information is needed.
Thank you!

Hi Aditua,
In summary all the user need is :
Am I correct?
Hello Samuel,
As mentioned in this post (+) Unexpected error - Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Forum Community Forum, apart from the roles, we need the required licenses for the user account to be able to create Power Platform dataflows and that will enable the user to create "import" dataflows in both CI as well as in Power Platform as well. The required roles in the Dataverse environment to be able to create dataflows are basic user (this role was called CDS User before) and environment maker.
Thank you!
