Question on Linking an Excel File to MR

Dear Expert,

I was testing on linking an external excel to the Management reporter, but I got an error message of  "The excel file cannot be founder. The Folder Does not exist" . I placed the file in the server that MR was installed on, so in theory, it should be able to access that file.

Anyone  knows why is that?

Below are  the Role, Column and Tree definition  I set up.

Thanks

Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,

If things don't work out then you can have a look at some blog posts on that topic.

If they don't help, open a support ticket with the MS support team.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I got IT looked into my issue and he confirmed that the account running MR was set to have access to that nominated folder. So it should not be the access issue.

But somehow MR still threw me the error message of "The excel cannot be found. The folder does not exist."

We are trying to create a SharePoint Folder tomorrow to see if MR can access.

Do you have any other suggestion if it still does not work tomorrow?

BTW, we are with AX2012 and the version of MR is 2.12.13002.1

In theory, MR should be able to access an external excel. right?

    Thanks

    Jennifer

    Hi Dr. Ludwig,

Thanks very much for coming back to me. I've raised a ticket to get IT to look into this.

    Cheers

    Jennifer
