I need help here.
Objective: I want to configure web client and mobile app so external and internal users can access NAV 2017 by using web browser and mobile app.
I bought a SSL cert [Comodo Essential SSL (DV)] 2 months ago and the ssl domain/url set to "erp.company.com". The server name which hosting NAV 2017 is "mynav01". My vendor will handle the above job. After checked out, my vendor told me that the ssl domain/url must be "mynav01.company.com" (name of first part of the domain/url must match the server name which hosting NAV 2017). In order to make this change, I contact my SSL reseller to do the change of ssl cert domain/url but the reseller reject my request because my purchase is more than 30 days old and I need to purchase a new ssl cert with my desired domain/url.
My questions:
1) In order to make my objective works, the SSL cert domain/url must match the NAV 2017 server name?
2) I don't want to purchase new SSL Cert. Base on the existing ssl cert I have now, what can I do to achieve my objective? I am new to this area so I have no idea what configuration can be done to make thing right at this moment.
I appreciate if experts here can help me out on this, give me clear pictures on what I can do next, thank you very much.
