Select multiple User in lookup view

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

in Microsoft CRM 2015 I want add a item on quick phone call so, I want to select multiple user or team by this item.

Called this item "CC", and add CC on quick phone call activities form, so i want send a copy of posted phone call to all users or teams in CC , when select multiple users in CC.

But I have a problem. We can't select multiple users or teams by CRM.

In another case, for assign a task to multiple users, if in task form, click on the "Assign to" button and select Look for "User" and Look in: "user lookup view"; Now if I want to assign this task to multiple users, I can't do it. so, MS CRM allow to select only 1 user; if you try to select multiple users get this error: "You can select only 1 row."

Attention: I don't want to create team for this users, because selected users may be different for each post.

Please help me.. thanks.

    Hi,

there are a few out of the box fields which allow multiple selections - they are called partylists - some examples would be "to" and "cc" fields on the email entity. You can't create new ones, though.

The closest option would be to have a subgrid (N:N probably), but you'd have to figure out how to utilize those subgrids (probably will have to use a plugin/javascript/custom workflow activity). In particular, it won't help with the "assign" at all since there can be only 1 owner in CRM (either a user or a team).

    thank for replay.

"You need to add many to many user grid on form and in which user would select the multiple users"

I should create many to many relation between "User" and "phone call"??

Phone call don't allow to create N:N relation.

    Hi,

You need to add many to many user grid on form and in which user would select the multiple users and then you can add custom button on form and on that button you can execute plugin or JS code
