Problem with Power BI Finance app installation

Hi all,

I'm trying to install the app from Microsoft appcentral called 'Dynamics 365 Business Central - Finance'. So I'm downloading it via PowerBI.com site. and after the installation it throws error: "We couldn't install Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - Finance. There was an error when processing the data in the dataset". In details: "Data source error: The 'Number' column does not exist in the rowset. Table: powerbifinance."

Does anyone know how to fix this kind of error? The other Microsoft provided power bi-BC apps works fine.

I'm having the same issue.  Did you find any resolution?

Sorry, no - it seems like nobody uses it?

    I get the same error.

What versions of BC are you running? I am wondering if these packs are set up for a different version to the one we are running?

I have been getting this error trying to use the Customer List app.  Says data won't load, and this is the error code. Couldn't load the data for this visual

The query referenced calculated table 'Dates' which does not hold any data because it needs to be recalculated or refreshed.

Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.

Seems like a different error, but wonder if you have any insight

It's not really a different error, it's just a difference location.  I see this same error when looking at the KPIs/Charts, and the original error when looking at the related data set.

I'm using the online version with the CONTOSO database, but I do have clients who are looking to roll this out for real and I'm hesitant to bring it up until we know what the issue is.  I'm working on opening a case with the Power BI group to see if we can find a resolution, so if it goes anywhere, I'll update here.

Check out this link.  I already submitted one, but your input and additions would be wonderful!

So, I went down the path of contacting the Power BI support group about this.  Basically, the consensus is that if we can connect through the desktop Power BI to the Business Central instance (which we can), then the issue is with whoever developed the app and the Business Central data.  So the next step is to open a support case with the Business Central group.  I'm still trying to figure out how to do that, since I can only find support for on-prem and not cloud.

Thank You so much for escalating the case. Let us know if you find out something.
