Repopulate lost data in Posted Sales Invoice

We had a custom extension with custom fields in Sales Invoice Line. However during an upgrade it got accidentally deleted. We are trying to repopulate, however Business Central is throwing error saying Posted Sales Invoice is /locked/ and modifications are not allowed. We are only making changes to the custom fields used by the custom extension.
What are some options to repopulate the custom fields for a Sales Invoice Line in Posted Sales Invoice?

/Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action. (TableData 113 Sales Invoice Line Modify:  <ExtensionName>)/

Hi, this requires customization, here is a simple solution.
How to extend the Posted Document Update page (A solution for editing Posted Document)

If you want to directly modify and delete data to posted tables in BC, you need to add the Permissions Property to your code as standard.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I can only asume that you did an upgrade from Legacy ERP (NAV, AS400 etc.) ==> Business central?
Did a Business Central provider handle the upgrade for you? If so, they should still have the capability to migrate data from your previous system.

If re-data migration isn't feasible, you should consider developing an extension to facilitate this process with your developers and make sure correct poeple are notify of this correction.

The reason you're unable to directly RapidStart the data or make changes is due to the strict regulations Microsoft has implemented to maintain data integrity, ensure legal compliance, and strengthen internal controls.
These measures are in place to safeguard the accuracy and security of your financial records.

in short, there are ways to do it but you will need your developers involved.

    Regards,
    M
