Having trouble with a custom link to an associated view

The requirement is to place a link on a form to an associated view.

I have done this and am getting the associated view. What I would like is to include the full navigation experience and open the link in the parent window to provide a more seamless feel.

At the moment I am using a new tab and I can see the user being confused by the new window and lack of navigation bar,

To clarify, this is the colourful navigation bar with the company logo and breadcrumb etc. as opposed to the view specific filter, search and buttons.

I have something likethis MYCRM/.../areas.aspx

maybe since we want the navbar, &navbar=on& may be more appropriate

The "web=true" gives me an error. Will check the other link.
