We're just getting underway with our D365 F&O EE implementation (first version being run up later this week), and want to replace the "Dynamics 365" image in the title bar with our own (custom) logo. Some docs suggests that the size is 400x50px, but if the height in 50px, an approx guess with a ruler would suggest it's nearer 160x50px. Former probably on older versions that said "Microsoft Dynamics 365", the latter to the current "Dynamics 365" naming there.

Any idea what the correct dimensions of the gif/jpg/png file should be? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

As per this Microsoft article: docs.microsoft.com/.../change-banner-or-logo

"The ideal resolution for a banner image is 1920 x 281 pixels. The ideal width for a logo image is 350 pixels."

Thankyou for pointing at that page. The two main gotchas is that they don't specify the logo height (which I think is 50px) and that document reflects the logo size including the word "Microsoft" - where the one on the latest version of Dynamics 365 FO EE is much less wide and just says "Dynamics 365". The Microsoft documentation on this is surprisingly poor.

Our system was run up for the first time today, so will try to get the size off it directly - and post the result here :-}

If you create logo in raster format, such as gif/jpg/png, it will not be good. Better to create SVG, it's vector format.

SVG image in white color without background 120x50 looks good.

For example 120x50 logo in PNG format at 100% scale:

Same file at the same dimensions and scale in SVG format:

But if you scale to 300% or if you open unified interface from mobile phone or 4k monitor, you will see difference betwen raster and vector formats:

Thanks for all the details, now I also know which are the best dimensions. I am trying to make a logo for my company, but it is more difficult than I thought it will be.
