How do I import multiple selections into a lookup field?

Our Sales staff wanted a new field called "categories" to assign to contacts. They wanted a contact to be able to have several categories assigned to them, so I created a new Entity called "Contact Category" which has an N:N Relationship with Contact. This seems to work and I'm able to assign several categories to a contact from this lookup. However, I need to import about 1,300 contacts and some of them have several categories assigned in one field, separated by commas. Of course when I tried to import them, the ones with one category populated fine, but anything that had multiple separated by commas did not. I assume it's because it did not match up with any of the options in the category field. Any ideas on how to import contacts with multiple entries in a lookup field? Thanks!

I'm afraid you will have to restructure your data to make it possible for import. What you need is N-N Import plugin for XrmToolbox - github.com/.../Manage-NN-relationships
