why does the ship-to code go blank after you release the sales order?

    As mentioned by several previous experts, this problem does not occur with standard, please check your customization.

    It shouldn't. There must be a customisation that empties the Ship-to Code. I suggest checking with your partner.

    Did you tried in the Cronus DB without any custom extension being published?
    Also, which version & country are you referring to.

    I dont think it is a standard behavior.
    Do you have any customizations?
    If yes then I would suggest to uninstall the customs and check once.
