A New Way Of Using PowerBI Cloud To Access BC On Premis

Posted on by 104
Hello All,

Not a question, but an announcement that many people here might be interested in.

We have created a new (as far as we know) way of being able to use PowerBI Cloud to access BC On Premise data directly.

This means that the full power/function of Power BI Cloud can be used against BC On Premise.

Of course, this has limitations, but what we have created is MUCH BETTER than anything else we have seen to date.

We believe there are a LOT of people who will be interested in this.

It is 100% free. Nothing to buy!

We are giving away all the views.

(The only software you might have to buy are PowerBI Cloud licenses to use this new capability.)

We have also been accepted on the community blogs and we will be posting valuable freebies to our community blog.

This is the blog post in question.

This is the excerpt.

"In this blog post we demonstrate in a video the details of how to make much better use of Power BI Cloud to query Business Central On Premise data. This blog posts opens the way for all On Premise customers to easily use Power BI Cloud to report on all data inside their BC System without having to have programmers write code for your "next query" or "next report". This is all free except the Power BI licenses if you do not already have them. We hope you like this blog post."

And this is the original blog post with video demo and links to all the downloads.

If you have wanted to get PowerBI Cloud talking to your on premise BC database directly more easily?

This may be just what you have been looking for.

Any and all feedback most welcome.

Best Regards

Peter Jones.

    Hi Zhu,

    Thank you for your response.

Just FYI, our BDM Mihai Neacsu follows you on Linkedin. You really know your stuff!

What is SNS? I have not heard of that acronym.

We just put this announcement in different places we know about on Linkedin and now here just so anyone interested can watch the video and download the databases and try it out for themselves.

We are quite happy to post our freebies anywhere they are agreeable to be posted.

Also, we are quite happy for anyone else to share the freebies around.

I think everyone understands valuable freebies are "marketing" and earning credibility in the marketplace. :-)

We plan on bringing a whole lot of freebie PowerBI reports out now.

    Best Regards

    Peter

    Not a question~
I think it would be better if you post it on SNS~
You can also submit your app or solution to AppSource so that more partners may contact you.

    Thanks.
