Posted on by 75

Hello,

Can anyone help in figure out the following issue?

pastedimage1608978624636v1.png

As shown in image, when a goal is created in CDS then a flow will trigger. But it show me some unknown error message

"Virtual entities are not supported."

How could we fix it?
Thanks,
Bansari Pandya.

    Hi Bansari,

Below is the answer from Yammer Post. Indeed, there is some limitation with Virtual entities.

This is a current limitation of virtual entities. Because the data doesn't physically reside in Dataverse (CDS), we don't yet have a method for Dataverse to register data events associated with virtual entities to trigger actions in a flow. This is a limitation that we're working on, but don't yet have a timeline for when it will be available.

This and other current limitations of virtual entities are documented here: docs.microsoft.com/.../get-started-ve

    Hi Parag,

Here I comes with one more point.

Here you can see, when I manually trigger the flow & tried to get the list of records from same virtual entity. It works fine.

So may be the issue is in trigger.

    Hi Bansari,

I tried the above steps and I am getting the same error.

I don't know whether a Virtual entity supported in Power Automate.

I see the below thread is open in the Power Apps community.

    Hi Bansari,

Can you please check whether you are able to access via CDS entities if not then let us know?
