I am working on integrating RMS with a web shopping cart.
I need to update many items (8000+) with various information provided from supplier catalogs. I need to import info such as Extended Descriptions, Weight, MAP Prices (import as Price Level A), image file names, etc.
I can get the vendor data in an Excel Spreadsheet/CSV file.
How do I perform a simple update on my items to bring this data in? It doesn't seem like it should so difficult. Am I missing something stupid obvious? I can't imagine that functionality is missing from RMS.
I've tried the qsimport utility. But rather than update existing records... it creates new records for each item in vendor catalog (tens of thousands of items!).
Are there any free/low cost utilities I should consider? Dropping hundreds of dollars just isn't an option!

If you don't want to re-invent the wheel, there are numerous add-ons to accomplish this, Check with DRS, Retail Realm, Retail Hero for their add-ons. Retail Realm is sold only through Partners, the other two will sell direct, I think.
