SalespersonID on customer card vs SalespersonID on shipto address

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Customer service recently updated a lot of salespersonid's on customer cards in AR.  It's now being noticed that the shipto address has a salespersonid in that area and the salesperson id from the customer card does not roll down to the shipto address.

Why and how can I fix it so that the shipto address defaults to the salesperson ID from the customer card instead of having to change it 2 times or more?

We're on GP2015 R2

    Hi Deanne,

The Customer Maintenance window data is stored in the RM00101 table and the Customer Address Maintenance window data is stored in the RM00102 table hence the reason there is a possibility that the Salesperson ID fields can be different regardless if it is for the same Customer ID.

Currently there is no way that the changes you make in one window will roll over to the other.

Best thing you can do is use SQL scripts to update the salesperson id field of the RM00102 to match the RM00101 value.

I'm using GP2013.  From what I understand, that's how it was designed to work.  We have corporate customers with many shipto locations all around the world.  The sales person assigned to the shipto location gets the commission for the sale shipped to his state or country.   The corporate sales person might stay the same but we shuffle shipto sales people by location often.
