Kingsway soft/SSIS- migration of connections causing duplicates

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

in process of migrating connections between contacts and accounts however when using kingsway soft to migrate , the connections between records are being duplicated when migrated?

Migrated in the following order.

1.connection role entity migrated first

2. connection role association entity migrated second.

3. connection entity migrated - then duplicates of the connections are created.

Any advice on how to prevent this or is the process above incorrect?

    Hi Scott,

Similar issue I am facing during import for "CustomerRelationship" Entity . How can I differentiate between the records.

    Thanks in advance.

Looked to have solved this issue.

From the source I just amended the Fetch statement to call only the 'ismaster' connections.

How did you get on with this?

This is likely because a connection actually is stored as two records - one for each direction.

The connection that was created in the first place is marked with Is Master = True.

Make sure your query for the source of the migration only takes the source connections where Is Master = true.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Thank you for choosing KingswaySoft as your integration solution provider.

Your migration process looks good for us. In order to create a connection between two records, you would need to specify a source record and a target record in the CRM Destination component, in which case you can use the record1id and record1idobjecttypecode fields to specify the source record and record2id and record2idobjecttypecode fields to specify the target record. If you want to specify the relationship between the participants in the connection, you would need to specify the record1roleid and record2roleid fields. Can you please double check your mapping and see if it helps?
