Licenses and BC Environment

Hello,

I trust that you are all well.

I would like to know the following please with regards to D365 Business Central.

If I create a Sandbox and a Development Environment, will i require separate licenses for each environment or the number of licenses purchased will be able to access both environments?

    The question is not so clear. Do you mean an online sandbox (cloud)? An online sandbox can be accessed to all your licensed users + all the delegated admins you've configured in your tenant. 

    A development environment installed locally (local sandbox based on Docker images) requires a partner license (as default it starts with a cronus license and you can then upload your own). With a partner license you can use the users you want (named users).

    Thanks for your reply.

    Apologies but yes this is for the cloud version of BC.

    This does answer my question with regards to users being able to access the Sandbox & the Production environment.

    So, at least we do not have to purchase different licenses for each environment.
