Cannot create a record in Global address book (DirPartyTable) in AX 2009

Dear all,

It has error meesage "Cannot create a record in Global address book (DirPartyTable)" when we create new customer ID and vendor ID, and we ensure it is not duplicate number. Would you have any solution to fix the problem?

    Hi Mark,

    Find out the solution to fix the problem

    Basic -> set up -> number sequence -> AB (global address book) -> General (tab) -> untick "Manual"

    addtion information: check your table Relation about dirpartyTable/CustTable/VendorTable

    If there's more misinformation pls show out

    Did you check your dirpartyTable -> partyNumber is not maxinum?

    After you synchronize, Did you check the table again to see if there is a record exists about you mentioned?

    or you can write query in SQL,

    select partyNumber from dirpartytable

    where partyNumber = 'yournumberValue'

    Hi Mark,

    All three steps done, but cannot fix the problem. We suspect that it is because of a number in the Global address which is blank but being locked.

    Do you have any suggestion to fix it.

    I have done Step 1, but cannot find step 2 "system management". Can you let me know how I find it.

    Is it need to do all 3 steps to fix problem?

    3.In the System management -> Periodic -> Database -> SQL Administration -> table actions ->synchronize database

    Hi Christy Pang,

    1. In the AOT -> datadictionary -> table ->dirpartyTable ->right click ->synchronize

    2. In the System management -> Periodic -> Database -> Consistency Check

    All of users has this problem in one entity and where I can find out global address book in AX 2009.

    Hi Christy,

    As Satish Panwar said, check the number sequence,

    If that there is no problem, you can try to Synchronize your DirPartyTable
