Hi,

I woant to test Engineering change management but I I have problem with settings product release policy.

I don't now how to create: Template released product.
Some template are visibe in product release policy. I can't find the relationship between when the temlane are shows up and when it doesn't.

Someone can help ?

Did you follow the below Templates for the ECM products importing ?

Step 1: Engineering Product Creation

Step 2: Products V2

Step 3: Released products V2

Step 4: Released product variants V2

step 5: Released engineering product versions

Step 6: Engineering Product Version Attribute Value

First on Released products Product/New/Template/create personal template

And second create product using this template

Then you find new created Product in Template released product.

But in step: Set up a product release policy

Template released product: D0006 - i haven't D0006

If I woant create Template released product: in Template released product: is is visibe products only without BOM -> in next steps I cant create BOM

I have the same issue. I already created a new release policy and created some released products incl. templates (create shared template). I can find the template under common / record templates, but I can't select a template in the release policy. After I've selected the company ID the selection of the template released product list is empty.

The template released product in the release policy is an actual released product in the specific legal entity. You can choose any existing released product.

Have you tried manually entering the item number? I had this issue of the drop down not locating all available released products but I was able to just copy the product number and paste it into the template field without issue.

Hopefully that works for you as well

I have found out, that the production type of the released template product must be set to None. Then the template is selectable in the product release policy. Type BOM seems not to be supported. As a workaround, set the type to None and select the template as required. Switch it back afterwards.
