If you are using a live feed from RMS to your CCTV, EVERYTHING that gets processed through RMS will get recorded. I always suggest using the printer out so you get all the information at the end of the transaction. For example for every item that gets scanned or deleted will be recorded VS having the video feed for the whole transaction and the receipt when the items get tendered at the end.
I might suggest looking at line delimiters or ignore characters on the dvr (input) if it has the ability.
Thanks all for the responses. We have the printer solution working, but we are trying to capture real time actions using the pole display output, but are getting an issue where we are getting the last line output repeated everytime a button is pressed in RMS. For example, a scanned item appears twice when you scan it due to the return, then if we click on Set Customer, the pole display output is refreshed and we get another line on thye cctv. Any thoughts?

You can set up a second receipt printer in RMS and have it print to an ip address/port number on the DVR is it is supported.
We have done the integration with select CCTV systems (PC) based.
The way it works is it prints the receipt onto the video. So when the transaction is done the receipt shows on the video. It is simple to achieve this and the CCTV system should have the capability of accepting the input from the POS register.
