Posted on by 473

Dynamics 365 On-Premise version 9.0.43.6

XrmToolBox version 1.2023.1.63

Connecting to organizations on this Dynamics-server with XrmToolBox gives me the following error message:

Connecting using system admin user.

What has been tried?

  • Restart Async service
  • IISreset
  • Recycled AppPool
  • Full server restart

XrmToolBox logs gives the same error as over and Dynamics Trace Logs gives me this:

The exception message is: The authentication schemes configured on the host ('Anonymous') do not allow those configured on the binding 'BasicHttpBinding' ('Negotiate').  Please ensure that the SecurityMode is set to Transport or TransportCredentialOnly.  Additionally, this may be resolved by changing the authentication schemes for this application through the IIS management tool, through the ServiceHost.Authentication.AuthenticationSchemes property, in the application configuration file at the <serviceAuthenticationManager> element, by updating the ClientCredentialType property on the binding, or by adjusting the AuthenticationScheme property on the HttpTransportBindingElement.. failed with exception System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005)

Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #5E9BAA9D: System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005): Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown. ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.

Problem is now fixed by running a repair of the Dynamics 365 installation and a reboot of the server.

Hello. I tried to connect to same Dynamics server with Plugin Registration Tool and get the same error message. We also have several Dynamics Organizations on this server and everyone gives the same error message.

    Hi,

Were you able to connect to the instance from Plugin Registration tool? This is to isolate the issue. Can you use a different connection method, make sure you give your details properly including port number to connect. If you still face the issue, post the snap with details you were entering.
