    Hi Thu Ngo,

You can find some information on the special depreciation allowance here:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-bonus-depreciation

Before trying to use it, please clarify whether it's usage is allowed in your country because in my home country it is not.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Dear Ludwig,

Thank you for your reply. Currently i just want to test this function in D365. In AX 2012, i thought this function only applied for Depreciation book. So on D365, because they merge Value model and Depreciation book into Book. So i would like to know how it work.

I already setup the Special Depreciation Allowance as the link you mentioned. But when i try to make the proposal for Special Depreciation Allowance, the posting default posting layer is "None" and cannot be edited.

    Best regards,

    Hi Thu Ngo,

Can you open your fixed asset groups?

On the very top of the form there is a button 'Special depreciation allowance'.

Have you linked the special depreciation allowance that you setup with the fixed asset group here?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Dear Ludwig,

I could check it now, the reason is because when using the special depreciation allowance, the posting layer is defaults as None, so when i create another Journal name for posting layer None. I can see the special depreciation allowance journal.

    Hi Thu Ngo,

Good to hear that. What you have to clarify though is whether this special depreciation allowance is allowed to be used in your home country. This is something I can't tell you :-)

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

My special depreciation allowance proposal is not showing any results even after tagging the Special depreciation allowance on the Fixed Asset group. I have tried posting with both current, and None posting layers. Is there any other configuration that im missing? Will appreciate the response.
