Client Crash, 'Item Ledger Entries' form - Navision Dynamics 2013 R2

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We are experiencing an issue where the Client Crashes when a user attempts to open the ‘Item Ledger Entries’ form for a particular item.

This crash only seems to occur on certain screen resolutions (1280 x 1024) and will only occur if the Item Ledger Entries form opens in full screen.

This only happens on one item.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

I can confirm that this fixed the issue for me also.

No it doesn't occur for everyone just one user. We had the same issue a few months ago with two other codes and the only way to solve it was to ensure the item ledger entries form opened windowed rather than full screen.

When I tested other users I found that screen resolution seemed to play a part, the user was experiencing the issue when using a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 but when I tried a different monitor with a resolution of 1360 x 768 the problem did not occur.

Many thanks for your reply Suresh, what I believe is being thrown is a System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException and the source looks like Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.UI. Does this help at all?

Can you check the event viewer and get more information about the error ? i don't believe % will cause that issue.

    Hi Mahesh,

There is a % in the description 2 field for this item, could this be the issue?

    Best regards

    Matt

    Hi,

Could you check whether there's any special character in that Item No, Name etc.?
