Fixed Assets Depreciation

Hi All,

I'm configuring Fixed assets module for a client, client want that fixed assets must be depreciation on the basis of net book value instead of acquisition cost.

i don't get any option for this, looking forward to community help

Can you please elobarate the question. What is the difference between the netbook value and acquisition cost? With an example of depreciation per montly example please.

Hi Asif,

What method of depreciation do you need? Straight line or another calculation? In case of Straight line, there are two options:

Straight line service life - takes acquisition value as base for calculation

Straight line live remaining - takes net book value as base for the calcuation.

If the calculation method will be straight line, then you would probably need the second option. If you need a complete different depreciation method, please provide more details with possible an example.
