Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Archived)

Zetadocs Express Archive service installation fails

I’m having major issues installing Zetadocs Express on my test machine.  After going through the Installation documentation, the setup fails when trying to start the Archive Service:

My user is a local admin and I’ve run the setup with elevated permissions.

If I try to start the service via services, I get:

Which could be valid since the installer is still running.

The only lines in the log that seem to jump out at me are permissions based:

StartServices: Service: Zetadocs Archive Service
Error 1920.Service Zetadocs Archive Service (ZetadocsArchiveService) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

    The error message that you locate may indicate that one or more of the following conditions are true:

     - The Microsoft SQL Server service is not started.

     - The account that is used to start the service does not have the correct database roles in SQL Server.

     - The SQL Server database sort order is incorrectly case-sensitive.

    You must think that your user should have the following permissions:

     - db_ddladmin

     - db_datareader

     - db_datawriter

    And you should grant the EXEC of the following stored procedures:

     - createserversessions

     - createusersessions

    It's not a quite easy issue. Good luck!!

    This is happening even before I can get the service installed.  I've attempted to change the user during installation to my user, but local system should be good enough when everything is installed locally.

    Have you created a new domain user and given full permissions for that user and used that for running the service.
