Print to PDF

We would like to print our purchase orders to PDF files, but when you select "Print" and select the Purchase Order template it gives you a viewer with only a printer icon. When you click that printer icon it just automatically prints to the default printer i.e. it will not let you select which printer to use. We want the default printer to remain our laser printer but want to select the PDF printer driver for the Purchase Orders. Does anybody have any idea how to do this? We are using MSDPOS 2009.

    Hi, mdwstr.

    Have you ever found a good way to print PDF files? I think you can install a PDF printing SDK on your PDF viewer. When you want to print PDF files, you just need click the printing icon. You 'd better do according to its tutorials about how to start with PDF editing on C#.NET or how to start with PDF editing on VB.NET. Google it and select one to help you with that. Remember to check its free trial package first if possible. I hope you success. Good luck.

    I see this is very old and hopefully you have long since found your answer but just in case, I had this same problem and found that to do what you want, you have to make the .pdf printer the default printer for your computer in your control panel settings.  Then your report will default to .pdf.   You just need to remember to swicth the system default printer back when you are done, unless your other programs allow you to change the print to device on the fly.
