I'm new to Microsoft exams and as far as I can understand from Microsoft's website, is that each CRM exam certifies you as a Specialist and unlike other Microsoft certification paths, if you pass three exams that does not certify you as a Microsoft Professional.
Is this correct?

There's no set no. to be a Professional, but a set of exams/certification definitely makes you a professional. here blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-crm-certification
