Print Serial Numbers across page in SOP Blank Invoice

Hi there,

My client can have many serial numbers - 1000 or more - per item so needs to print them across the page in the SOP Blank Invoice to save paper.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to do this?

    I didn't try this on VBA, better you can create your own custom report in SSRS, Crystal report or any other reporting tool with using the serial number table as group header.

    Hi Jo,

    I recommend you make use of the "Divider Tool" in Report Writer.  In Report Writer, in the Tool Box, the icon looks like this:  - | - | -

    As per the help:  Use the divider tool to divide the report into columns, such as for printing labels. To mark a division on the report, click the divider tool, then click in the body of the report where you want to place the division. You must add the division to the right of any existing fields; the division won’t appear if there are fields or other objects to the right of where you’ve clicked. Once you’ve placed a division on the report, you can’t add any objects to the right of the division. You can reposition a division by dragging it with the arrow tool.

    As a note, you can place the divider down multiple times.

    This is difficult to do in VBA. Once I have tried this in my side, Let you know.

    I do not have access to Dexterity - I have to use report writer

    Is there no way I can do it using VBA?

    If the sales line item has 10 quantities, do you want to show 10 different serial numbers(which you have entered while creating this order) in SOP Blank Invoice?  

    Yes, you need to modify this report in dexterity by adding additional header section for showing serial numbers or create SSRS report with sub report/drill down report to display the serial numbers.
