Since yesterday, my client is experiencing a problem trying to search and send Knowledge articles.

This is impacting our front-line user’s ability to access, link, send out Knowledge Articles and/or continue their day to day operations, as they are receiving the “Insufficient Permissions” error message whenever they are access their respective entities. Please advise.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Please give the users “Customer Service app” security role, this will have all the needed privileges.

Go to Power Platform admin center > choose environment> setting>users & permissions> Users

    ICPS_2023,

If you are using custom security roles, in the Custom Entities tab, give the User privileges to Favorite knowledge article.  We found permissions to this is required in 2023 Wave 1.

If your client is receiving an "Insufficient Permissions" error message when trying to access or send Knowledge articles, it's possible that there may be a permission issue with the relevant entities or records. Here are some potential steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check user permissions: Verify that the affected users have the necessary permissions to access and edit the relevant entities and records. You can do this by checking their security roles and the associated privileges.

    2. Check entity and record sharing settings: Ensure that the relevant entities and records are shared appropriately with the affected users or teams. You can do this by checking the entity and record sharing settings.

    3. Check Knowledge Management settings: Verify that the Knowledge Management feature is properly configured and enabled for the relevant entities. You can do this by checking the Knowledge Management settings in the Dynamics 365 admin center.

    4. Check for recent changes: If the issue started recently, check if any changes were made to the system or security settings around the same time. This could help identify any potential causes of the issue.

    5. Contact Microsoft Support: If you're unable to resolve the issue, you may want to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

I hope these steps help you identify and resolve the issue for your client.
