    Yes, That is correct.

Example how it works during the sales returns:

During the Sales Return Order process, when the inventory is received and a Return Reason Code is selected, it goes directly into the process based on the disposition code.

For example, if you use Scrap as the disposition code, the system does not create warehouse work (Pick and Put). But, if you check the on-hand inventory, it shows the quantity as reserved.

When you complete the packing slip for the return order, that specific inventory ID is directly removed from inventory, and a quarantine order is posted in Dynamics 365 F&O.

Yes, that is correct. Quarantine orders are not supported for warehouses that are enabled for Advanced Warehouse Management in D365 F&SCM. For those warehouses, the recommended approach is to use the Quality management module with quality orders and quality associations to control inspection and inventory blocking instead of quarantine orders.

The reason is that advanced warehouses rely on WMS processes such as license plates, work creation, mobile device receiving, and location directives. Quarantine orders belong to the basic inventory functionality and bypass these warehouse execution processes, which makes them incompatible with WMS-enabled warehouses.
