Hello:

I know that somewhere in the Alternate Security ID window, there is a way to grant users access to lookup windows that are advanced and not the "old-school" lookup windows.

Here in GP 2013 SP2, however, I cannot find the security setting that will give a user access to the advanced lookup windows, such as " Batch IDs".

Where is this security setting that I'm missing?

You mean 'smartlist lookups'?

If yes then you have to select 'SmartList' in Product field and then mark the lookup you want.
