simple group by in report

Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to do a simple "group by" for the last 2 hours in a custom report.

I have in my dataitem a column text field A, a decimal field B. I would like to group on text field A, and sum field B. It seems this is not possible right now without using temporary tables and what not. I am probably missing something.

    Report data items do not support group-by, try using a query object instead.
