Able to delete others notes from timeline

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to not allow users to delete others notes in timeline. Is there a way to stop user from deleting others notes from timeline? May be through security?

The User is in one team. But we do not provide access at team level. Its blank. But I observed that Administrator for the team is system admin. Will this be a problem?

If I give as below the user can neither delete his or others notes.

When I give delete at user level he can delete his as well as others.

Hi,

Navigate to Settings->Security->Users->Open User record and check what teams associated to that user. Note down all teams name from user.

Now Navigate to Security ->Teams-> Check team security roles.

If possible send User manage security role screenshot and User team subgrid screenshot to investigate this further.

Ideally User should not be able to delete other user notes if he has User level permission. The reason he is able to delete because Delete permission is getting inherited from either team he is part of or you are missing something. Check user security roles throughly.

Did you check if the user has another security role? Also is this user in a team? If it is please check that team security role too.

It did not work. The user was able to delete his notes as well as mine.

System Admin has full security privilege, you can't test with admin user and never change the System Admin's role if there is not another System Admin user. To test correctly you need to assign your newly customized role to the test user. Also be sure that there is not another security roles on the test user that has higher priveleges for the Note entity.

Thank for response. I will only able to test on Monday using someother user id who is not admin. Here is the screen shot I have set.

Is there a way to test myself? but I am admin.

Yes, if you keep the Delete access level for the User, the user will be able to delete his own records

Will the user able to delete their notes? My requirement is that users can delete their notes not others.
