Post campaign campaign tracking problem

Posted on by 10

I have an interesting problem. Our marketing team sent out about 600 emails MANUALLY to 4 different segments of a marketing list. I have all the emails captured in Dynamics. Fortunately, I don't have to go back through and set regarding for them all! I am able to find each segment of the campaign by advanced find on the emails.

Here's where it gets interesting! I need to create new marketing lists to send to the appropriate sales people to follow up on. As I mentioned I have the emails captured, so I can find the email. I search, "let me introduce you to Bill. He handles accounts in your area." I get all the emails needed for that search, success!

Now I need to add the contacts of that search to a marketing list for Bill to follow up on. Is there an automation that I can write to do this? Oh, and just to make it even more interesting... Some of the emails track to the customer contact record because the email address reconciled. Some do not as they were aliases. I have the alias in a different field on the customer contact record, but the system didn't pick up on that.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
