Hello

I have one requirement which is not covered by Field Service and would like to have an expert view on it.

My customer is planninng resources according to areas AND week, example for illustration:

Resource 1 is covering areas 1, 2 and 5 during week 1 but area 3 and 4 during week 2.

Resource 2 is covering areas 3 and 4 during weeks 1 and area 1, 2 and 5 during week 2.

We have just 5 areas and around 15 field agent.

Workorders can be plan several weeks ahead. 

Agents do not have a permanent back-up resource.

    Here is a great reference on how to configure for a territory or area as you call it:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../rso-configuration

    The strength of RSO is to optimize for mulitple resources and e.g. on one area or region.

    So if the weekly setups are kinda static you could create a new field for the weeks on the resource entity and add a new resource view for each indiviual week (that will select only the resouces for that specific week).

    Then change the resource view for every week via e.g. workflow.

    It's just a basic idea I had but maybe you can come up with your own approach or idea.
