Hi,

I've a scenario but i'm not able to figure out what is missing on my customer journey. I've installed a Marketing trial app on a trial environment and the instance seems not be the same...

Scenario:

I have to send an email to a list of Contacts that have been added to a specific Marketing List.

I built a segment that includes all the Contacts added to the marketing list but are not added. moreover the synchronization happens every 40-50 minutes it's a normal behavior?

As you can see here my contact were added to a list:

I built a segment that will be populated when Contact will be added to that specific Marketing List:

It doesn't work...

Here below my Customer Journey:

1) Segment with the contacts that were added a marketing list

2) Send e-mail with a link inside

3) If the click the link i'll insert them into the segment (interest about the link for example)

4) If not i have to insert something or it could end without actions?

Could anyone help me to figure out? I know that Marketing App is a new solution and i've found a few articles but no one help me to figure out...

RE: Question about implementing a Customer Journey Scenario

    Hi Marco,

So the issue with your segment is that you have to tie the Marketing list back to Contacts as contacts are the basis of the Marketing app.  So a Marketing list segment might look something like this:

And contacts being added every 40-50 minutes is common behavior.

As to your question on the journey, I'm not clear on exactly what you are trying to do.  You have a link inside the mail, but where does the link take the user?  And you say that you want to add them to the segment, are you talking about the segment that you used to send them the email in the first place?  I'm not clear on your scenario to be able to answer.  Fundamentally if you want to find if a user has interest, a common scenario is to have the link send a user to a form page to say signup for a newsletter.  Then if the user submits the form, this information can be used to create a segment and add the user to it.
