How to clear the physical data through SQL ?

Hello All,

Go To Microsoft Dynamics GP --> Maintenance --> Clear data.

Now i manually clear the data, It is possible to clear the physical data through SQL. Stored

procedures. If any one knows please advice......

    Hi Pragadees,

    The answer to your question is yes. Using SQL you can truncate any of the tables and clear the data. For the paticular table you have selected, trancating the table will not work for you. If you clear that table using the Clear Data window it actually populates the table with the Security Resource Descriptions. Truncating that table in SQL will not accomplish this task.

    You could record a macro that stepped through the table clearing process, but I would check the macro after each SP or Upgrade to make sure it is still selecting the correct table.

    Curiously, why do you want to use a stored proc?
