Can you create more than one company in Dynamics 365 Business Edition. I have a customer with 5 companies

for clarification, I need to set up 5 distinct companies. I am not looking for full multi-company functionality with Due to/Due Froms

Hello,

Yes, you can create more than one company in Dynamics 365 Business edition. When creating them they will be 5 different companies.

To create a new company you can go to My Settings under the setup gear icon. This will bring up the “Edit – My Settings” page. Select the AssistEdit on the Company line and you will be shown a list of Allowed Companies. There should be a “Create New Company” action on the ribbon.

Another way to create a new company is to use the Search Icon (piece of paper with a lightbulb) and type in the word 'companies'. This will open up the Companies window and you can click the New icon to create a new company.

Hi Tim,

Yes, you can. First, search for and open the Company Information page. Expand the User Experience fast tab and ensure that it is set to Suite. The User Experience must be Suite in order to create a new company.

Next, search for and open the Companies page. Highlight the existing company that you wish to copy from, and then click on the Copy button on the ribbon. You will be prompted for the New Company Name, and then that new company will be created with the data copied from the existing company.

each user must see only related company Dynamics 365 informations otherwise it will be very nonsense.
