Zetadocs Express NAV 2013 R2 - IsWebClient. You have specified an unknown variable.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi all,

I have side by side installation of NAV 2013 and NAV 2013 R2 on a single server. I have installed the Zetadocs Client and NAV Server side in the 2013 R2 database. I am getting the below error when try to recompile the codeunit 9041215 - Zetadocs-Capture Addin. All other objects compile ok.

---------------------------

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment

---------------------------

You have specified an unknown variable.

IsWebClient

Define the variable under 'Global C/AL symbols'.

---------------------------

Did anybody have the same issue? Any ideas how to resolve?

Thanks

Kamil

    Hi Suresh,

I have found the function was missing in the File Management codeunit. This was caused by technical upgrade from 2013 to 2013 R2. I have imported the File Management codeunit from R2 db and I can compile the Zeta objects with out the errors now.

    Thank you for your help.

IsWebClient is not DotNet object method, it is a local function in 9041215 codeunit and in turn calling the same function in the File Management codeunit, can  you verify if that codeunit has the IsWebClient function or not.

    Hi Suresh,

thank you for your response. I have downloaded the FOB and imported only that CU but the error is still persisting. Unfortunately I can not open the CU with our dev license.

    I did have a different issue with other CU 9041220 - Zetadocs-Archive and error: Could not load type 'Zetadocs.Nav.NetApi.Archive.ArchiveClient.'Zetadocs.Nav.NetApi, Version=7.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=e139abe62dd951e0''.

but I have found a solution for this: copy the NAV Server side Zetadocs add-in folder to the RTC add-in folder. Could this be something similar?

It seems that the actual IsWebClient method is missing in the DotNet object. Could you please let me know what DotNet objects this 9041215 - Zetadocs-Capture Addin loading so I can check if that is available in my object designer.

I think it is missing a function in that codeunit, i have attached a screen of missing code try to add that or get the latest copy of that object.

Or take a backup of your existing object and import only that object from the following .fob
