export failure

I just upgraded to a new PC with Windows 7.  The export feature on reporting now fails consistently.  It still works fine on the old PC (XP.)  The version I am running is 2.0150.  Service pack 3 is installed as is Feature Pack 1.

For clarification, I can export to a file; just not to email.

    Rick,

Windows 7 does not include an email client, you must install one.

The export routine really only works properly with Outlook.

Thanks, Jeff.  I do have Outlook installed - v 2007.  Is there something I need to do with either HQ or Outlook?

    Rick,

I think you may have to turn off the UAC.  Nothing else that I can think of.

What's the issue?  It doesn't open Outlook, attachment not attached, ...?

Nah --- It pops up a dialog box saying "Export Failed."

    Re: export failure

    Rick,

I'm assuming that you are just selecting Export and OK, correct?  The default selections are email, HTML and Export hidden rows is selected.

Is Outlook open or closed when doing the export?

Make sure that Outlook is your default email program.

Control Panel | Default Programs | Set program access and computer defaults | click the down arrow for Custom | in the Choose a default email program section, select Outlook AND Enable access to this program | restart the computer

I had the same issue and finally found a soultion! With windows 7. Go to deafult programs. Then specific ext's. Scroll down to HTML and it propbably has Internet Exp in there. Change to outlook and then it succesfully export PO's via email/outlook!
