Form control underline removing

I'm trying to remove underline from any form control type but nothing works. I tried to use the .underline(false) method but it also didn't help.
Do you have any example or idea of achieving this without using extensible control but only standard functionality?

I'm assuming you don't see that below all controls in all forms; you're talking about a specific scenario. Which form pattern are you using? Which controls do you have there?
