User Sitemap

Posted on by 2,909

I can't seem to get my head around Apps / Sitemaps

So Dynamics 365 now comes with a Dynamics 365 - Custom App (default) which has all entities

It also has a Field Service App which I have customised the Sitemap for.

I can hide the Default Sitemap so users can't select by accessing Settings -> Applications -> My Apps however the default sitemap still comes up when a user logs in they just can't select it as an option from the App selector menu.

I have searched but there does not seem to be a way to set a default custom app / sitemap for some users.

    RE: User Sitemap

Would it be safe to edit the Default Site Map?

Use the Site Map Editor, save original XML as well as export sitemap as a solution.

Concerned that the reset sitemap option in Sitemap editor wouldn't restore the Field Service parts of the Default Sitemap if it went pear shaped.

Am I wrong in believing that we can't stop the Default Sitemap loading only the the Custom Sitemaps by Manage roles?

Also, when you login as system admin and go to Settings -> Applications -> My Apps  that loads all the apps. For each app, when you click eclipse (3 dots), it is giving you an option to hide the app.

Have to be in the Field Service App to get the My App option not available in the default view. As stated I can hide the default App but there is no option to Manage Roles for the default App.

Also, when you login as system admin and go to Settings -> Applications -> My Apps  that loads all the apps. For each app, when you click eclipse (3 dots), it is giving you an option to hide the app.
