Does anyone know why this doesn't work when you select the 4-up forms?
Have any changes been made to the 4-up Report Writer template?
Go to Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports:
- Administration > Setup > System > Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports
- Select the user ID
- Select All for Product
- Select Reports for Type
- Select All for Series
- Expand Payroll in the box below
Does the 4-up form show there? Is there a modified report selected? If so, change it back to the original one that doesn't say Modified next to it.
In the year-end series of blog posts, Microsoft said the SSN mask is there for all five types of W-2s.

I just checked this on a live company and a test company and the SSN mask is working.
