MR error Setting Default Company

Just installed MR 2012 CR 6 with DDM integration.  Integration is successful and we can log into Report Designer.  However we get an error when selecting a default company.  The message reads " Unable to connect to the 'My Company' company.  You don't have access to this company.'

I'm not able to change the option to verify the credentials nor am I prompted with a login.  It's as if I can access MR with my windows credentials but somewhere I'm not getting prompted for my sql credentials to access the database.

What did I miss?

    support suggested re-entering the gp and data mart credentials for sa.  No odbc datasource is needed for MR

    Any other ideas here or do I need to open a case?

    I did check this article.  I've not needed an odbc datasource previously but verified anyway.  I checked the table and the only thing I changes was relates to case.  I changed the server_name value from SVR-acct to SVR-ACCT.  Restarted the services and tied the client again and no luck same error.

    I've not had to create an odbc datasource before to my knowledge.  Doesn't the configuration take care of this for you - the server, database and credentials are all specified there.

    In the setup what account did you tell it use windows credentials or sa? Is your DB running in mixed mode? Does your account have db read/write permissions?
